Established in 1850, CMS stands as one of the oldest and most respected medical societies in the United States. Our first president, Dr. Levi Boone—who also served as Chicago's mayor—set a precedent for civic and professional leadership. For over 170 years, CMS has been a cornerstone of medical excellence, fostering collaboration and innovation among healthcare professionals.
