Established in 1850, the Chicago Medical Society (CMS) has been a cornerstone of medical excellence in Cook County. Our mission is to advance the science and art of medicine, foster professional collaboration, and inspire a commitment to the highest standards of patient care among our members.

Purpose

Founded in 1850, the Chicago Medical Society cultivates the science and art of medicine, promotes the sharing of professional experience, and encourages enthusiasm for the profession among its members.

Membership

Membership is comprised of nearly 7,000 professionals who reside in or practice in Cook County.  Representing all medical specialties, including practice managers, the Chicago Medical Society encourages all medical students, residents, physicians in active practice, academicians, retired physicians, and practice managers, to apply for membership.
